The hostage-taker had stormed into his estranged wife's house, waving a stack of wrinkled envelopes. By the time the neighbors had reported the disturbance, he had threatened her with a kitchen knife.
In less than two hours, Aurora had used rational words and her level head to calm the husband enough to remove the knife from his hand. After he was arrested, Mike found Aurora, standing alone in the now empty kitchen. To lighten the mood, he said, "Now, I have Elvis Presley's song stuck in my head."
"Return to sender. Address unknown," she sang, a smile on her lips.
