#26: Goodbye
Never give up, never say goodbye; it was the group’s promise as they debuted during boy band turmoil; sometimes Mir sometimes felt like he’d have to break their promise, because if he wasn’t suffering through his relationship with Joon, he was falling more in love with the older man, and neither seemed like a good idea.
#27: Hide
Hiding your true feelings was more painful than any broken relationship, and Mir noticed it every time he listened to ChunDoong; every time the second youngest talked to or about SeungHo, every time SeungHo denied ChunDoong the feelings of true love.
#28: Fortune
“If we became amazingly popular, and I had everything: good looks, popularity, and made a fortune, then you would say you love me,” Mir challenges Joon, and the older man shakes his head, “You forgot with all that, you would probably be a totally different person, and I like your innocence and naivety.”
#29: Safe
It was safer this way, really; with no silly things (like feelings) getting in the way, Mir didn’t have to worry if he would lose Joon to someone else at any minute; at least that’s what he would tell himself.
#30: Ghost
To be perfectly honest, Mir was afraid their popularity wasn’t going to last, and one day he be forced to just watch the ghost of MBLAQ being shown up by newer bands like F.Cuz or ZE:A or any other new band that came along; how would they be fight the never ending sway of the fans attention?
#31: Book
Everyone stared at Joon as if he came from another planet; all he knew was sex and making magnaes miserably in love with him, so how could he-“What? You think I don’t know how to read,” Joon asked with a frown on his face.
#32: Eye
“Look me in the eyes and tell me you don’t love me,” Mir challenges one morning before they’re fully awake; Joon looks him in the eyes and does just that, but then adds, “It doesn’t mean I don’t care for you though.”
#33: Never
If you had asked a younger Mir if he would ever get in a relationship so broken, so messed up, two years ago, he would have simply replied “never,” but he also never thought he would find someone he was so hopelessly in love with that he would bend to that person’s will and wait patiently on the sidelines for him to realize what he has in the young man staying by his side.
#34: Sing
“Sing,” Joon teases, and Mir just grunts “I rap;” Joon looked at him with a grin, “If you sing, I’ll say three magical little words;” Mir glares at him, “I don’t want to hear it unless you mean it.”
#35: Sudden
It was just a fake kiss, Mir keeps telling himself after the nuna episode of Idol Army; but he still finds himself mad at Joon; that is, until Joon suddenly pulls the young man and slams him against the wall, “You’re bugging me, so here,” Joon replies before kissing Mir, actually kissing him, in a more romantic style than it ever looked when Mir was just watching it be played out.
#36: Stop
“If you keep beating yourself up over this, why not just stop,” Joon asks Mir, and Mir shakes his head, “I’m loyal, dedicated, and I believe in you, Joon; I will wait until you truly realize it.”
#37: Time
It takes time to win someone over, and Joon was so thick-headed Mir felt it would take longer than the years he’d already been trying to get Joon to understand exactly what love was; now if only he could get SeungHo to stop showing Joon sex didn’t have to mean love.
#38: Wash
“I feel like I’m in a wash machine when I’m with him,” ChunDoong suddenly tells Mir early one morning; “Huh, why,” Mir mutters, still not fully awake; “I feel like I’m always spinning, when I talk to him; until eventually I’m so dizzy I can’t fight him anymore.”
#39: Torn
“Stop it,” SeungHo demands to, no, warns Mir; “Why should I-” Mir begins but is cut off, noticing the caring look from his leader, “You’re naïve and think you know what you’re doing, trying to change him, but you’ll only be torn to shreds; I’ve tried, Mir; he doesn’t want to be changed.”
#40: History
Mir felt he should believe SeungHo, after all, SeungHo and Joon had history; SeungHo used to be with Joon, used to use Joon just as he was using ChunDoong, just as Joon was using him; no, Mir scolded himself, you’re different, you won’t give up on Joon.
#41: Power
“Maybe they just have more will-power,” ChunDoong tries again another morning, and Mir looks at him; ChunDoong gave him a cute smile and laughed slightly, “I mean, who wouldn’t fall in love with us?”
#42: Bother
Until it was brought to his attention (usually in the form SeungDoong-watching), Mir was never bothered to care about the broken relationship he was in.
#43: God
During a quiet morning, Mir was watching a special on Egypt, and he smiled as he remembered a more innocent, less jaded him; a child who once told his parents he now worshiped the Egyptian Gods and to call him “Son of Ra,” because he wanted to be on pyramid paintings too.
#44: Wall
Telling Joon he was loved was like trying to ask a wall to move; but more recently, something seemed to be getting through to the older man, and it gave Mir hope he had finally gotten something through to him.
#45: Naked
“I used to sleep naked to get the attention of whoever woke me up,” Joon admits to Mir as they’re playing a drinking game; “Why did you stop,” Mir asks him, sipping some of his soda (since Joon wouldn’t let him drink, even though he was old enough); “I don’t know, something about you; I wanted to appease you.”
#46: Drive
“STOP,” Joon calls before Mir can even get out of the driveway; “WHAT,” Mir asks him, frustrated; he wasn’t doing anything wrong, this was officially the last time he practiced with Joon; “My god, you’re going at a million miles a minute and you’re making me nervous,” Joon whines; “Joon hyung, I wasn’t even going five miles an hour.”
#47: Harm
“I suppose,” Joon begins, getting Mir’s attention one night, “there’s no harm in trying this “loyal” thing,” he tells Mir; and the magnae has to stop himself from jumping around the room in excitement.
#48: Precious
Mir valued each precious moment after Joon admitted he would try to be loyal; and he valued the man as well when he noticed Joon actually trying.
#49: Hunger
What Joon had become accustomed to-sex, no love, everything that had jaded the older man; it all became clear within one day, and Mir had a hunger to find out exactly what caused all of it so he could make it better for Joon.
#50: Believe
“You never stopped believing in me,” Joon more so questions Mir about a week after Joon had decided to become loyal, and the question of “why” was written all over his face, “Joon hyung, I love you,” Mir responds simply; and Joon’s confusion is replaced with a smile, then a shaky, word-not-familiar-on-his-tongue reply, “I-I love you, too.”
