When you're a kid, you're taught to believe in fairy tales and happy endings.

How are you supposed to adjust to the fact that there aren't?

That is a very good question. I often ask myself the same thing. It took me about 4 years and medication to get over that one. :/

In some form or another I think so. Some people self medicate. Some go to a doctor. Or some just go numb.

Everyone deals with it someway. Me; it's escaping to the happy ending that does exist. Reading, watching movies, listening to music about that 'happy ending'. I know it's not everyone's prescribed drug but it's mine.
