We're very happy with the yard. Most of the other houses we liked had very badly-configured lots, broken up by giant concrete driveways.
We hope to replace the oil furnace sooner or later, ideally with gas. The seller said he had also considered a heat pump as the primary heat source (with the oil furnace relegated to backup heat).
According to the DPD GIS ArcIMS viewer, yes, the property lines are slanted to match the surrounding streets.

How funny that our yards are the same size, but yours is in a MUCH better configuration!
I'll be curious to hear of your experiences with heating oil, as I didn't put an offer on one house almost solely because of that.
Are the property lines really on a slant, like satellite view suggests?
