Los Pobres!
'Tis the season...
Months ago when I was going to be gone for a week or so, I removed the live-trap from constant use -- and left it outside the pantry in the least accessible place and orientation I could find.
I never put it back into service, but today when I was passing through Mariposa, I got the feeling that I should check it. Huh. A shadow. Can't tell what that is.
Opened it. 2 somethings. One was recent. Probably not more than a few days dead. One was completely dessicated and rot-welded to the trap. I've put the (now cleaned) trap in the middle of my path where I'l pretty much have to look at it twice a day. And baited it. And once I make some catches, I'll have to find/make time to go back to Mariposa and CLEAN out the pantry again. Sigh.
