Today was pretty cool. I was in my office for two and a half hours rather than the usual eight. Why? Meeting, lunch, then "return briefing" from the astronauts of STS-117. Rivaled some of the awesomer SHARP moments. It's not the same without Priti :(

I'm quite fond of it. I'm more of a Deist than anything else, but Christ's teachings are nothing to sneeze at.

It is so unfortunate that the Christian title has been so deluded by wishy washy label mongers. Reading that quote always makes me think to re-evaluate who my life reflects.

My prediction is that someday genuine followers of Christ will get a new label, like Jesus freaks or something....

I agree entirely, actually. It is one thing to be a member of the organization, and another to study what is actually meant to be at the core of it all, reflect on it, and if you so desire take it to heart. I try to blaze my own path, and part of that is following Jesus' teaching of pacifism and "who is my neighbor."

I wouldn't say Jesus was 100% pacifist though, afterall he did "whip" things up at the temple in Jerusalem.
I think to turn the other cheek when under persecution is something to aspire for.
