Hello all,

...and just like that, I'm back.

I've been a bit hesitant to do any sort of social interaction online, following the election.  Actually, now that I think about, I've been avoiding most real-world interactions as well.  I've also neglected interacting with the cleaning supplies necessary to keep my apartment in livable condition.  I ( Read more... )

I'm curious as to why you were avoiding contact after the election. I would have thought you would be shouting from the rooftops in joy.

I think it has more to do with the time of year than anything. I usually shut myself off from everyone around this time of the year, lasting until mid-Spring.

It's not really a bad thing. I was super excited following the election, but I'm not really one to rub things in people's faces, and there's only so much preaching one can do to ones own choire, so I've kept to myself mostly (I've probably also annoyed the hell out of Sanjit with my constant updates on appointments and transition news).

There's no harm in being a hermit. Unless, it gets you on Fox 6 Investigates...

I'll have to interact with people again outside my job after I get my final notice from DHL. I just don't know when that will be.
What will Yellow do for me? Axe me and everyone before Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving, Ry (and Sanjit)

On Nov. 10yh, they announced an end to all US Domestic business. Only International to and from the US will remain. They are still the #1 express company in the rest of the world. They're just incompetent here, 5 years after buying out Airborne, 5 CEO's, billions wasted on failed ideas...
Sad for the employees. DHL, however- needs to get spanked by the US government. They appear to have violated the W.A.R.N. act, so we'll see if they get to bleed a little for us at least.
