I'm back in Sydney and I met Joe Flanigan!
Ha! Joe Flanigan did turn up in Melbourne and was charming, intelligent, funny and very talkative! I had no pre-conceptions or expectations except that he'd be interesting to listen to and he wowed us all with jokes, comments, wraith impersonations, hotness and incredible warm sense of fun! No he did not wear that white shirt but goddamnit, he was every bit as mesmerising and impressive as they say he is in other con reports!
I probably will have to defer to someone with more literate competency to give a full con report. It's late today and I"ll probably not write much till next weekend or a couple of weeks but I know that the following people, derry667, _wwsd_, yokiem, kirei_seimei, meganina and garneteve all have great photos. I have tonnes of photos and videos and we're sharing all our stuff!
The big surprise of the expo for me was meeting Connor Trineer, who was incredibly hot, nice and charming and Alan Tudyk who was really gorgeous in real life. I haven't seen much of Firefly but he really seems like a great bloke. I also met Billy West (that Futurama guy) whose wife I talked to at length at the cocktail party, Chris Rankin (hot in real life, played Percy in Harry Potter) and Peter Woodward.
BUT OMG, Joe! Joe had so many wonderful and funny things to say about so many things and David and Paul! Haha!!!
I really have to give a big thank you to all my friends - for helping me find my way around, and a personal thank you to kirei_seimei for driving us around, offering us her place to bunk at and just being a fantastic host in Melbourne.
Also, guys, don't laugh but I just found out from looking at my photos with Joe, Connor, Alan etc that I actually took individual photos with Connor and did not collect them!!! OMG, I completely forgot because I was so obsessed with Joe!!! Arrgggh....
I don't think I'll post the vids I took as they take up way too much memory and are private... but I can't make up my mind about photos. I was very lucky though that I got great individual pics with Joe, Connor (though I left these in Melbourne) and group photos of Alan and Connor and Joe and Connor. With regards to candid photos, I have had several flisters who's had their photos taken with no credit, watermarked with someone else's name and even sold on ebay for money by weirdos! So I'm going to watermark some photos, and I'm sure no one wants to see photos of me and Joe so those will be flocked.... to be honest, I prefer being under the radar and anonymous so I don't mind if only my flist notice these photos!
derry667 grabbed a really slashy photo of Joe and Connor together which is very cute and funny because of their facial expressions and the fact she admitted it was slightly slashy even though she's not a slasher! I think it's a very candid and great for captioning photo... seriously they were all very very lovely and cool to chat to!
This is my photo of Joe and Connor when Joe realised Connor was at the autograph table a few seats down and immediately went up to say hi! Very similar to derry667's but a split second later.

Now I'm off to bed and dare I add, isn't Sebastian just so pouty like his dad??? Joe made a comment like "Wait till he pisses all over David and we'll see McKay!" (or something like that)
EDIT: derry667 has posted her pics. She cut me out of some of them - but lookee... there's that slashy Joe-Connor pic!!! There's a story about those boxers... haha, unless the lady who gifted it to Joe tells it, I'll hold my tongue!
