Thanks to a recommendation from ernunnos, I have an account on Pandora. This may be the best music site I've yet found. It allows you to create custom stations, based on artists or songs you like. Then, it will play similar stuff, based on a number of different variables, fine tuning itself based on your feedback ( Read more... )

I've been using Yahoo! Launchcast for internet radio. Same thing, start with a few basic choices Poe, NIN, Floyd and then it branches from there. For some reason it kept playing Tammy Wynette. Probably because I rated Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers.
I think it's about $36 a year, too, and that is so you can get even more preprogrammed station choices and unlimited skipping.
But, this program here, Pandora, does it work with Firefox? That's the only drawback to Launchcast, I can't get it to work unless it's on IE.

Oh, yeah, and you can also create "mood" stations. That's kind of nice, too :)

Yes, works beautifully on firefox and safari. (I'm on a Mac)

Pandora is awesome about what it throws at you. I'm liking it a lot.
