Looking for an apartment/room to rent

Hello, I'm an international student from Toronto, Canada who just have been accepted in the Deaf Education Program at McDaniel College. I'm looking for an apartment to rent, preferably nearby McDaniel so I can walk or bike there. If there's anyone on this community who can help by offering a place for me to stay or suggest a website I can look at

i would check craigslist.com (i'm pretty sure that's how you spell craig's list, if not you can just search it) - i hear they have lots of postings in the area :)

Also, unfortunately it will be *very* hard to find something less than $500 unless you also look for a roomate who would split costs with you. The only thing you might be able to get for that much is maybe a room that someone is renting out. I've seen a sign for a room rental close to campus - next time I go past, I'll try to get the number (meant to do so last night, but I got distracted...) .. it doesn't say how much, though.

Good thing you're looking early. Cheap apts are hard to find in Westminster (and in MD in general).

(note, you want to use the "baltimore" location on www.craigslist.com if you're going to be searching there, and put "westminster" in the apt keywords)

Sorry, a lot of advice here, but make sure you ask folks from Westminster (maybe post this community) about any place before you put down deposits. As with any place, there are some areas that should be avoided, especially if you're a girl living alone.
