I geeked it up on my last two days in 東京 (tokyo)

Jul 21, 2005 21:18

I found a copy of いただきストリートスペシャル, used no less, but I just couldn't convince myself to buy it. Maybe when we return to 東京 for the last night, but right now I just don't have a PS2 to play it on. PS2s here cost around ¥20000. It'd probably be cheaper to just get my PS2 modded, though I don't even know where to begin on THAT process ( Read more... )

A.J.'s Taxi Service. blackmage137 July 21 2005, 13:54:41 UTC
August 4th is a Thursday here... I have Checkouts till 4:30/5 PM, then I have to do a building walkthrough with Conference Services (usually takes about an hour).
If you dont' mind waiting, I can head out to JFK after all that (probally around 6:30PM). There'll be a bunch of traffic, so expect me around 7:15PM I guess.
If thats too long to wait (assuming the flight isn't late), then I'd suggest either taking the Air Bus ($5) to Jamaica and then Jamaica to Hempstead.
Or you can take the Classic Airport Shuttle Service (about $25 i think), directly to Hofstra.

Let me know what you decide to do and continue having a kickass time in Japan!

On Modding your PS2... tex8503 July 21 2005, 21:41:51 UTC
As far as modding your PS2 goes... I'd say that unless you know someone who solders shit for a living - that your gonna wanna send it away and have it professionally done. It's far too easy to screw up (I'm speaking from expierence - I killed 1 ps2 in this manor and nearly killed a 2nd). There is a new no solder solution but I have no idea how well it works. I think its the DMS 4 E.Z.I. and it'll run you somewhere between $50 - $80.

Let me know if you have any questions - I'll be happy to answer them or find out the answers.

Have fun on the rest of your trip dude and we'll have to hangout when you get back :)
