Properly aged post?

So I've been thinking... how similar are a livejournal post and a fine wine? I mean think about it, I have a lot of friends who post very infrequently, not unlike myself, and when the post finally shows up people get all excited about it. So there has to be something to it, right? Maybe? Or maybe people will get fed up waiting and never check

I think I have the exact opposite opinion on posts. Anything beyond two paragraphs I don't really read, so I usually end up skipping most of the "properly aged posts".
