I've often weighed the "get dressed" vs "eat something before school" items. It's easier in our house to find and apply clothes on the way from bed to down stairs, which then means food is likely to be dropped or dripped on the school clothes, or fingers wiped on them, and most days that socks or tights are worn all around the house with no shoes on, because for some reason shoes can't go on until the last minute no matter how often I ask.
The blankets to keep the milk seperate from the chest sound like a good solution. A little more laundry intensive than some, but he worked it out on his own, which sounds great. Perhaps a stack of nice big dish towels at hand? Much friendlier to touch than paper napkins. :-) Although not nearly so comforting as a blanket.
Too many decisions by half, first thing in the morning - mornings are just too squished, but I'd certainly like to lighten the laundry load. Cheers, and have a great weekend.
