I'm guessing you must be having just delightful experiences with the california school system, which can't be all that different from the school system all over the US, which is pretty well horrid.

Actually, we've been very fortunate, they're at a great school with an anti bullying policy that works and is enforced. But I have a lot of friends who have THE most horrific tales of woe. I suspect it's the world over though rather than just in the States.
