I was just destined to be sleep-deprived this year.

Day before the convention my air-mattress burst, then early in the morning I hear a rodent in the wall next to my head. I pound on the wall and hear the window counterweight banging and a terrified, trapped rodent!   The counterweight it seems acted as a one way door, trapping it in.

I once snagged a mouse trap away from work as it had actually managed to catch one.

After an hour of intensive, delicate work, I could literally have had a pet; since it's fear seemed to have vanished so many minutes after starting.

Glue traps; such cruel things.
