I have some instructions on How To Copy and Post Pictures, but unfortunately they are Down Under and I am Up Over. Step-by-step advice would be infinitely appreciated. Maybe one day I, like the hero of The Last Cop, will learn how to live in the 21st century.

If so, first make sure your pictures are all in the right format, the right way round and the right size - I find .PNG format works best and 400 px on the longest side. (I've had trouble uploading .jpegs in LJ recently.)
In the 'Post to journal' screen, make sure you select the 'Rich Text' tab. Click the picture icon on the top line and you'll get a 'Browse' option which should open up the file directory on your hard drive; search until you find the right picture and click it, bringing it into LJ. Give LJ time to upload (there should be a progress bar) and then click 'Add to post' (lower right corner). After that you can adjust the position of the picture in the post - centring it up, for example, or adding text - before you post it to LJ.
Hope this helps!
