Not exactly slashy yet, but the relationship between young Morse and his Inspector does develop gradually; I have a feeling that by series 2 or 3 the goggles won't be necessary ...

Fingers crossed, sort of (isn't there a Mrs Thursday somewhere?). Are there any lj-comms that you know of? Love to your new cat, may it sleep happily on top of the fridge for the next 20 years.

There's a Mrs Thursday, two teenage children, and some good solid hints of a tragic backstory - at least enough to hypothesise something unrequited, unless the writers chose to turn it into a quasi father-son thing.

Thank you, Frankie's made herself perfectly at home and seems fully determined to do her 20 years in the recumbent position ... except for the occasional 4 a.m. spot of zen gardening in the litter tray ...

I might make a trip to Melbourne sometime, meet up? Maybe get some slashers together down there? Seems like something to give life meaning :D

Would love to see you again, and to hear about your new cat. If you do come to Melbourne you're 100% welcome to my guest room. Have lost touch with nearly all the Melbourne slashers, who are young enough to be my daughters and, in some cases, grand-daughters, and are mostly into fandoms which leave me cold (Dr Who, Person of Interest, assorted anime etc.).
