This glorious day you speak of will come, but it may not be for quite awhile. Try to enjoy the battles while they last. I hit a period much like what you seem to be describing, and it lasted from right after my senior year through the beginning of my sophomore year of college. I've had my head screwed on a lot straighter since then.

It might have something to do with all that "rational mind" stuff.
