BOO for internet and 'puter problems, but YAY for coming up with a workaround so that you could post this, because it was lots of fun. I wonder if there are comment or like buttons on the Atlantis server which readers could use.
The only drawback to your current posting method is that there's no LJ cut. Can it be incorporated? It wasn't a big deal for this story because it was so short, but it might be more awkward if you're posting something longer ... and you really, REALLY should.
Yes you're right- I will have to try a lj cut. The editor for Lj was so flaky though in chrome that once I was happy with the post I didn't want to mess with it further. I set up the app for google drive last night and it does make writing easier so I might flirt with some lj apps later! Checked my bank balance this morning. I may have to save up for new pc but I can afford nexus 7 tablet. Bigger screen would be nice. I miss my keyboard. Wish work laptop didn't have snoopware or I could just use that!
Heh! This is just as funny (& suggestive) as when I first saw it, & just what I needed to defeat some bad crankiness tonight! I love the idea of John pestering/challenging Rodney into writing further stories occasionally, suggesting silly plot twists & unlikely, acrobatic sex acts that Rodney should include. Rodney scoffs & insults John's suggestions but his pleased blush tells John he enjoys being asked.
What Rodney doesn't share is how surprised he was to discover he liked writing adventures for them where the dangers weren't life-threatening, where Atlantis' very survival didn't depend on Rodney pulling impossible miracles out of his ass, where he could create worlds & situations where Teyla's content & Ronon laughs & the whole team returns home sans blood, bruises, rope-burns, moral quandries or hitchhiking creatures or entities. He finds he also loves dreaming up creative sex scenes incorporating hints of things John's let slip & things he's always wanted to try but never had a partner he trusted enough to ask for. The way
( ... )
I may be inspired to write more in this series. I like all your ideas.
I'm continuing for now with the stories that made it to google drive before pc died, although I hope to save the ones still on my memory stick. I may finish a Rodney/Vince story called Uninvited Guests soon.
