I hope that I can encourage you to continue/finish this story. A very intriguing world you are building. Good voices and characterization for John and Rodney (poor Rodney!) I really like the addition of Jack and Daniel. some of my favorite stories have these 4 as the main characters. The idea of vamps as guardians is way cool.
