Looking at the date of my last post, I realized it's been longer than I thought since I last posted here. I guess you've all forgotten who I am! It's going to take me forever to catch up so please excuse me if I don't manage to read everyone's posts.

oh wow, sound like it was stressful for a while (and might still be!) I hope the MRI and whatever else is needed goes well to get you back on track on being healthy again.

the weight loss by getting rid of the water is quite spectacular! good luck building a wardrobe you like and that fits you :)

thanks hun. My consultant thinks that the MRI will tell him why I developed this problem with my heart and he'll be able to come up with a long term plan for treatment. Meanwhile the pills help a lot and loosing all that bulky water makes a huge difference.

The weight loss freaked me out a lot. I'm only just now getting my head round it. It's so much to loose in only 2 weeks. The truth is I had lost the weight more slowly but the water was masking it. I was worried at first that I had actually gone too low, but apparently I'm a perfectly healthy weight for my height.

btw I'm glad someone spotted the fleece icon. I currently own 3 fleeces, my best is the blue and white one because it feels like a Rodney hug.

Scary stuff, hon. Glad your feeling a little better and I hope it all gets sorted out soon.

To keep you entertained there are a bunch of stories over at romancingmcshep I can't promise that a few won't make your heart race though. :)

I'm very happy to see you around. ((HUGS))

thanks for hugs. One of my pills is for controlling my heart rate, so I should be safe ;-)

When I was really sick, I didn't feel much like reading the more racy stuff. I thought my muses had abandoned me at one point, but I think they were just putting all their energy into getting me through a day at work.

Hi hi hi! I'm glad you stopped in to tell us what's up, & SO glad it sounds like the doctors are finally pulling their thumbs out of their... pies. My Goddess, diuresing 70 pounds of water from such a tiny body is astonishing! I hope you enjoy feeling even more healthy & energetic as you adjust back to healthy normal. :-)

Sounds a lot like CHF, & maybe cellulitis in your leg? It's very important that you weigh yourself regularly & log results, so you know if you start retaining water again. [Sorry to be so preachy, just, my God! most doctors don't seem to explain squat or tell people anything practical. >:-< ]

Anyway, I've been attempting to lower sodium in my diet for some years to reduce edema. It's not easy in some ways but it can be a stepwise effort, you can still use lots of flavoring agents (herbs & spices, juices, vinegars & so on) & over time you really do get to like the taste of less-salty food. (I had a hard time believing that--I'm a salt junky & miss bingeing on it--but I like tasty things too & have to admit ( ... )

Oh god, I'm so relieved you're doing better. I was so worried for you as I read what's been going on.

thanks hun. I didn't mean to scare people, I'm hoping the worst is over now they know what it is. I must admit I was pretty scared myself when they started sending me for scans of my liver, but mostly I was sick of waiting while they figured out what was wrong with me.
