So I'm one month away from the day that my heart was broken one year ago, and one week away from my next birthday. Rabbits have been flocking to my house, and the moon is full. I have long admired your facility for self-analysis, but this post shows that you are maturing in that respect as well as so many others. I was especially intrigued by your external/internal focus dialectic, which seemed a very apt way of slicing through many of your ups and downs over the years.
And it certainly does seem as though your excessive external focus during your junior year at St. Scholastica morphed into the "wall" you hit at the end of your academic career and from which you are still bravely picking yourself up.
I am not going to respond here in more detail to your perspective about the thread, or theme, that has been leading you on recently; but I look forward to our next phone conversation when hopefully we will have time to talk more about all this.
