Artie had seen a bunch of football players with slushies laughing and wandering through the corridors as lunch started. Really not wanting to deal with them right now, he ducked out of the way, heading the long way round to the choir room. The last thing he needed was another slushie related delay.

He went to the choir room as fast as he could push himself, which considering how busy the corridors were, earned him three bags in the face, and one 'cello case. Honestly, a 'cello? He eventually made it to his destination and took in Tina's body language from the doorway. Not good. She had gone into a defensive posture, something he hadn't seen much of this year so far. Glee had been good for her.

"Tina?" he said, wheeling himself into the room, and shutting the door behind him. No point in advertising the fact they were skipping class.

Tina looked up when she heard a familiar voice. "H-hey," she greeted him, trying to sound cheerful. She was failing at it. Even though she'd desperately wanted someone to talk to, now that Artie was here she didn't even know where to begin. "Um, h-how's it going?"

He frowned at her as he moved closer. "I'm fine," he said carefully, not wanting to spook her. Sometimes she was like a frightened animal, ready to bolt. He stopped a few feet away from her, looking at her. "What happened?" he asked gently.

Tina opened her mouth, then hesitated. "I....I..I'm having a really bad day," she groaned, leaning her head back against the chairs. "Got a n-nice slushie welcome, broke my shoelace..." She gestured to her outfit and then to her shoe with each item, then she paused. ".....A-and bitched out ..someone in the girls' bathroom."

She looked at her right arm, then pulled off her usual glove, her friendship bracelet actually seeing sunlight for once. The outer side of her hand, stopping just before her pinky finger, was a light purplish color. "And th-that happened during..." she murmured, touching it and wincing.
