Tina had been sitting nervously in the back row, her hands clutching the black fabric of her tights. Her shoulder bag was thrown on the seat next to her; she had promised to save a seat today for Breanah, and had arrived a little earlier than usual to do so. Unfortunately, this gave her more time to sit and grow anxious as the others filed in. That included Artie, who still hadn't spoken to her in over a week, and she doubted he'd suddenly call her over Thanksgiving break. During their talk earlier in the week, Lucil Montoya suggested that Artie probably missed her - if that was the case, why didn't he show it? It was starting to get on the Asian girl's nerves ( ... )

Will turned to look at possibly the last person he expected to volunteer to go first. "Sure, Tina. I'd love to hear what you've got for us," he said, smiling at her to encourage her.

Tina nodded, thankful for Mr. Schuester's encouragement. She stood up and carefully made her way down, unable to notice any sounds beside the jingling of chains on her skirt. Was it really that quiet or was she imagining things? She confirmed that the accompanying musicians had the right sheet music before she finally faced the rest of the actual Glee club. She had her fingers laced together in front of her as she slowly spoke, trying not to stare at any one particular person for too long ( ... )

Will watched Tina perform, a confidence he'd never seen before in her. He was seriously impressed, though he wasn't quite sure what she was saying with her song. "Well done, Tina," he said, clapping as he stood up to congratulate her. "That was pretty good."
