Tina was so nervous and excited that she felt like her heart was about to sprout wings and fly right out of her chest. Bat wings, of course. Those were much cooler.
Just what did you wear for a Valentine's date? Her mother had been trying to push preppy sweaters and skirts in her daughter's direction but Tina wouldn't have any of it. She was dressing to impress Artie, not Rachel Berry. She settled on black skirt with matching leggings, paired with a red lace blouse beneath a black corset. She'd also raided her closet for her red converse she hadn't worn in months. She was waiting anxiously by the door and immediately opened it when Artie knocked.
"H-hey," she said shyly, closing the door behind her. On one arm she carried her coat and red gift bag obviously intended for Artie peeked out from beneath it. She smiled at him, bending to kiss his cheek. "You look handsome."
Artie tried not to fidget as he knocked on the door, but it was hard not to. He looked up as Tina answered it, and stared. "You look amazing" he breathed as he saw her. The corset and blouse look made his heart beat faster. "Um... Ready?" he asked, trying to focus on her and their date.
"Yeah, I know what you mean," he grinned at her. He'd pulled nearly every pair of suspenders he owned out if the closet to try and find the right pair.
He turned, rolling down the ramp (and taking childlike enjoyment out of it) and waiting for her at the bottom. "I'm looking forward to this."

She nodded again. "Definitely. After you?"
