Tina practically danced her way to the front door of Artie's house. Admittedly, she was a little early, mostly due to her mother having plans later in the evening, so she opted to drop Tina off now. In her excitement, the Asian girl had forgotten to call Artie before leaving her own house, and as she stood outside the front door she wondered if maybe that had been a social faux pas. Too late now, I guess.. she thought and pressed the doorbell, ready to exclaim "Surprise!" when it opened.
Artie's mom had yelled at him to go and answer the door, but he wasn't all that surprised to see Tina standing there. "You're early," he grinned at her, moving back to let her enter. "Too excited at the thought of tacos?"
Tina grinned back as she stepped into Artie's house. She loved coming over here, sometimes it felt even more homey than her own house did. She often wondered why that was - was it the design of the house, the personalized touches, or did she love it for a reason that took the shape of a human boy?
Out of courtesy, Tina offered to shut the door, and spun slightly as she turned to face Artie. "M-Maaaaybe..." she replied teasingly, then pausing to pull something out of her pocket. It was a cookie enveloped in a small plastic baggie. "I b-brought this for you- er, f-f-for dessert!" She turned her head slightly, causing a lock of hair to fall out of place behind her ear. Moving it back into place, she added sheepishly. "W-Wouldn't want to come by empty-handed."
Artie grinned at her and made grabby motions with his hands. "Cookies!" he said, laughing. "You know me too well, Tina. C'mon. Dinner isn't quite ready yet."
He turned and headed towards the family room. "So, how are things? Sorry I missed lunch the other day, I just couldn't face sitting in the cafeteria."
