Quinn liked being on top of the social ladder and thanks to Sam and her reinstatement of Head Cheerio, she was back where she belonged. She was quite happy with their arrangement and through their mutual desire to become McKinley's new 'It Couple', they'd actually formed a friendship. She enjoyed spending time with Sam, he was a little dorky, sure, but he was really cute and of course, they had a similar agenda. It really was a perfect arrangement. And no one even knew. To everyone else, they were the perfect, golden couple. Ken and Barbie. It worked perfectly for them both.
Currently, they were sitting in the Lima Bean, having hot chocolate. Quinn took a tentative sip from her mug and smiled over at Sam. "They really do. I'm not sure, I don't think I've ever tried it with regular milk." She lifted her shoulders in a shrug. "You're welcome to try mine if you want."
Sam looked from her to her mug and then back again with a shy smile. He had never actually shared a drink with a girl before and it seemed like some sort of leap in the right direction he was aiming for, or something along those lines. He shrugged and then gave a small laugh as he reached for her mug. "Okay," he agreed. The sip was tentative, though, and when he handed it back to her, the tip of his tongue swept over his lips. "You're right. It actually doesn't taste that different at all. I think my folks are just old school and believe in good old traditional milk for healthy bones or something

Quinn's cheeks flushed a little as Sam smiled at her like that before reaching for her hot chocolate. Their relationship might be all for show, but she was still a girl and she couldn't help but find him a little charming. Even endearing. Her hazel eyes were fixed on him as he took a drink and confirmed that it, in fact, didn't taste different. She had drank it with low fat milk for as long as she could remember. Before Coach Sylvester came along with her crazy dieting ideas, there was her mother. Judy Fabray was insistent on perfection. Russell Fabray was no better. Suffice to say, Quinn had lived under heavy expectations her entire life. Even something as small as milk being no exception. "No. That's how it should be. My parents are just..." Quinn rolled her eyes, taking another sip of her hot chocolate. "You get the point." She laughed a little, before following his eyes to see what it was he seemed so distracted with. Kurt, with the guy from his new school. She pressed her lips together, brow wrinkling in curiosity. Was Sam...

Sam nodded in understanding once he had turned back to her. He knew he was still relatively knew to the whole McKinley scene, but Quinn had filled him in on some of the gaps, especially as to her family values. "I do, and I'm sorry you had to grow up like that. I mean, it can't have been easy to need to continuously reach for the sky. It was probably tiring. In saying that, I think you're amazing. You might have made a mistake, but it hasn't broken you. You got up and kept going, and you're still amazing. But maybe now and again you should live in the fast lane and go for the full cream once in awhile? I promise, it doesn't hurt," he teased quietly.
But his hands came to grip around his own mug and he chewed on the inside of his lip. "Yeah... just... haven't really seen Kurt in awhile. I didn't realise he was dating," he said, trying to sound indifferent.
