Artie was on his own in the house - his parents were at work, his sister was being dropped off by a friend later. When Puck knocked on the door he wheeled there, grinning at his friend. "Come in," he said heading towards the kitchen. "Snacks and drinks are in the kitchen."
"Sweet," Puck said, walking into the house. "I woulda brought beers, but beers and babysitting? Bad fucking plan..." He grinned at Artie, though, as they headed into the kitchen. "So... how're things with Brit?" he asked. It was kind of an odd position to be in, really. Both of his best friends were into the same girl, and Puck knew that Santana was crazy about her... But he wasn't sure if Artie's feelings for her were that strong.
"Yeah, my folks would likely flip if they found us drinking beers," Artie pointed out. "Emma will be home shortly."
As he headed into the kitchen and Puck asked about Brittany, he looked up at him. "We broke up," he said, shrugging slightly. He liked Brittany, but as a friend, almost like a sister. But their relationship had been based on a lie, and it was time to end that part of it.
Puck wasn't totally sure how he'd missed that memo, but he had. "Seriously?" Well, that kind of made things less complicated, but it still sucked for Artie if he was really into Brit. "You okay, dude?"
