Mercedes needed coffee. She gotten over the effects of the hang over, but still needed that caffeine hit to get through the day. She'd headed for the Lima Bean out of convenience.

The one person she definitely didn't expect to see there, sitting on his own, was Blaine. She hadn't seen him, or Kurt for that matter, since the party, and after ordering her coffee, headed over to him, waiting to see if he noticed her. "Sure!" she said, sitting down opposite him. "How've you been? Recovered from the party?"

Blaine took his seat again and shot her a wry smile as he wrapped his hands around his cup. "Only just. I racked up way too many faux pas at, and in the wake of that party. I think I'll be paying for it for a very long time," he admitted sheepishly. "I really don't think Kurt is going to let me forget most of it any time soon, however."

"Did you have a good time? I hear you guys got into a bit of interesting situations in the days after the party, too. Man, when you all party, you really go all out," he said with a laugh.

"Yeah, I remember laughing a lot, but I don't think I did anything too bad," she grinned at him. "Oh, Kurt can have a long memory. He'll get over it though."

She gave him an embarrassed look. "I'll blame Artie for bringing in alcohol on the Monday. Kinda set the tone for the week."

Blaine's shoulders came up in a small shrug, but then he was looking at her helplessly. "He's been avoiding me, but even though I'm sure I was really embarrassing and stupid at that party, I don't think it has anything to do with that. I think it's the Rachel thing. The date, and the, um, bi thing."

"Man, if we had booze at Dalton, we would have been expelled, no questions asked. But then, our rules strings are a little tighter than McKinley, from what I can gather from Kurt. How on earth did you guys keep drinking, though? I could barely get water to stay in me until Tuesday," he said wryly.
