Rachel walked into Mercedes's house after waving goodbye to her fathers. She peeked around a corner and spotted the girl sitting in the living room. With a smile, Rachel approached Mercedes.

"Mercedes, I hope you don't mind, but I brought a couple of movies to add to our queue." she said, digging in her bag to produce "The Best of Barbra" movie collection.

"Barbra?" Mercedes said, raising an eyebrow at Rachel. "Really? No. We're relaxing before Regionals, not watching Barbra."

Lauren took a deep breath before entering the house. She still didn't feel like a part of the group. Maybe this weekend would change that.

"Mercedes? I brought brownies!"

"Hey, Lauren," Mercedes said, smiling at the other girl in an effort to be nice to her. "Brownies? That's great, thanks! Bring them through to the kitchen?"

Lauren smiled back. "Three kinds. Regular chocolate with chocolate chips. Peanut butter, and then white chocolate. I kind of went overboard with the baking."

"Who's here and what are we doing? We /gotta/ have more fun than the boys this weekend."

"You are wonderful, and they look great!" Mercedes said. She did love her brownies.

"Tina and Rachel so far, but I'm expecting the others at some point. If Santana and Britt can drag themselves away from each other long enough. We gotta stop Rachel from watching Barbra Streisand movies, though."

Tina wasn't going to admit it, but she felt awkward as she cautiously entered Mercedes' house for the sleepover. Her last major group hang-out time had been with the boys at the Star Wars marathon at Artie's (she was sort of pretending that the drunken bash at Rachel's didn't count since she didn't remember half of it) and before that...? She'd spent all of her time with Mike then, so she couldn't remember ( ... )

At some point into the party, and after consuming some really yummy brownies, Tina had enough nerve to try talking to Lauren one-on-one to try and get to know her better.

Lauren turned and smiled at Tina. "Thanks. I kinda love to bake. Which one did you like best?"

Lauren knew Tina, of course, but she didn't really /know/ Tina, nor any of the other members of Glee. Why not start getting to know them now? At least the girls. Gotta take the opportunity when it presents itself.
