"If you can call what the cafeteria is serving lunch," Artie said, pulling a face at Tina. "I pretend it is, it's the only way I can face it most days. I was going to ask if you wanted to join me, actually."
"It's not always bad," Tina countered as she aimlessly rummaged through her locker, trying to hide the fact she'd been staring at herself for the past five minutes.
"The chicken nuggets are pretty tasty, even if they do bounce," she said as she closed her locker, hugging one notebook to her chest while her bookbah hung off its usual shoulder. "And yeah, I'd love to."
"Yeah, I got worried the last time I tried them and one fell on the floor and nearly bounced back into my plate," Artie agreed with her with a smile. "Just don't ever have the pasta."
"Swing by my locker first? Want to dump some books off."
"Still, at least they're not serving prison food anymore," She shrugged. "And duly noted." She never liked school pasta anyway, not even in middle school.
"Oh, sure." Tina nodded, walking at his side was they made their way down to his locker. "How's your day been so far?"
