As soon as Blaine processed the fact Kurt really was actually there, he started to cry. It was probably the first time he actually cried in front of Kurt, but there was no holding it back. He was in so much pain, and he had no memory of the accident people kept telling him he had been in. The last thing he clearly remembered was backing out of the Hummel's drive after dropping Kurt off after the fireworks, and the next thing he knew he was waking up with a bunch of doctors and nurses leaning over him, shining lights in his eyes, and pain. Pain everywhere.

"Kurt," he sobbed softly and after checking Kurt really was there with a weak squeeze of his fingers, more tears spilled over. "Please stay. Please don't leave me. Everything hurts. Everything really, really hurts," he gasped out.

Keeping a hold of Blaine's hand, Kurt twisted behind him to pull one of the plastic visitor's chairs close up to the bed side. He sat down on it and then softly started to stroke his fingers through Blaine's hair away from from the bandaged areas. "I know, baby. I know. I'm not going anywhere. You've been really hurt. Another car hit yours when you were going through a green light, and you've banged your head really badly. You're all patched up now, and you've broken a couple of ribs, broken your wrist. It's no wonder you're really sore, honey."

His voice was caught up with emotion seeing Blaine cry. He wanted to make all the pain stop, but he knew he couldn't. All he could do was just be there. "But just try to relax as much as you can. It's really scary, I know, but I'm here, baby. You're not alone. I've got you, okay? Just try to calm down and the hurt will ease a little."

Blaine swallowed and sucked in another sharp, shallow breath. It hurt to breathe, but he was aware he had tubes in his nose with oxygen. He remembered one of the nurses telling him that, but it was hard to remember anything people were telling him. His head hurt more than the worst migraine he ever experienced, his chest was throbbing, and his stomach was really sore. But Kurt was here and that's all that mattered. That's all he wanted.

He focused on Kurt's face and his soft voice, using it to try and calm himself down even if the tears were still falling. "T-The guys... are they okay... is everyone okay? Where am I? I don't know where I am..." he whimpered. "Kurt, m-my stomach really hurts, I feel sick."

Kurt felt helpless and it was killing him that he couldn't stop Blaine's pain. It had been terrified when his dad was in a coma, but this was different. Blaine was conscious and he could feel the effects of the accident. Of course everything was going to hurt, his head was smashed into a car window and he was trapped inside for ages as the rescue squad worked to get them out. He spotted a sick bag nearby and he picked it up to rest on Blaine's chest in case he needed it and then rang the buzzer for the nurse. Surely they would be able to give Blaine an injection of something to stop him feeling sick ( ... )
