Yay you! Getting everything ready at close to the same time is major when it comes to cooking, especially Thanksgiving dinner.
I had to cook in stages, myself - always makes me dream of double ovens and six burner stoves, lol. Got the turkey and the ham done by 11 AM, then took the next two hours to do all the sides, but it was still warm when we ate at one so that was ok, lol. No big family fights ensued, everybody seemed pleased with the food, all the grandkids running - and crawling - around meant nobody had time to get melancholy, so that was good, AND I had help cleaning up the kitchen after, so yay, me! lol
Not a bad day, all in all, but I'm glad it's done. *wipes forehead and goes shew!*
Wow! No fights AND help with clean-up?! Damn, I am impressed. You sound much better. I'm so glad the day went well for you, Polly. I think all my coffee is finally wearing off - I'm starting to think longingly of my nice, warm bed...
