Now this was not always a favourite of mine, it's a pretty harsh song to get into as a non Manics fan with lines "for sale dumb c!*ts same dumb question" "You want a girl so tear off his cock" etc. But I think it's a genius song. It has so much meaning about prostitution itself, about abuse, about selling yourself out, about society and about reactive thinking/politics rather than proactive "just an ambalance at a bottom of a cliff". As a woman it has quite an affect on me.
I've seen the film that is quoted at the beginning and the end about protitution in New York http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107137/ twice. Once when I was about 12/13 and should not have seen such a thing. It has stayed with me.
