The Divine Comedy - Charge
There was a period in my life when I just bloody loved The Divine Comedy. It was the the year before I want to uni and my first year so I'd have been about 17/18/19. This song I loved and still love. It's a naughty little number about sex. I love many many of their/his songs. I love the sort of grand old fashioned dandy style it/he has, I love the lyrics, I find them so clever and amusing. I always think of the Poem 'To his Coy Mistress' when I listen to a Divine Comedy song - kind of smutty but said in such a eloquent way. I find Niel Hannon irrestable because of this.
I am always reminded of Summer as I listen to these songs as I used to take my walkman to the coast when I went with my mum and stepdad and listen to the songs over and over while being very depressed and staring at the sea(See 'Songs of Love' and 'Popsingers Fear of the Pollen Count' for ideal summer songs)
There will be more The Divine Comedy on this list.
