I think my view on the coffee party thing was that I need to learn to be respectful of people of different views even if they're the opposite of me on the political spectrum and I need to swear off calling them names. I need to learn how to discuss politics.

I was about to balk at your "reasonable vs. unreasonable" proposal, but then saw your renaming of Inclusive vs. Exclusive, which is essentially the same as what i was going to propose: Compassionate vs. Self-Righteous.

Reason, while useful in many many situations, is a bit overrated. Intelligence, while highly valuable, is useless by itself. I'm very much in your camp in thinking that the goal must start with getting everyone on board and then be about discovering the platform; this is the exact opposite of how politics traditionally operates.

So when do we launch our first campaign with the Compassionate Inclusion Party?
