You can buy either fresh or frozen broccoli in ready to steam packages, if you'd like to save one pan. They'll steam in the microwave while you're slaving over the other three pots. It sounds tasty, though!

I don't trust the microwave. Besides, ours is all of 700W... not what you might call powerful.

And I managed it in three pots today, since that was what I had; I cooked the shrimp early, kept them hot and used the same pan to steam the broccoli.

And Kendra liked it. That was the important thing...

While we're on the topic of cutting out pans...

You can also toss the Broccoli into the pasta pot durring the last 3-4 minutes of cooking, and mix it all in together, instead. Jonathan and I do a variation on that, but we just used alfredo sauce in a jar... cut up chicken into little bits, brown in a pan, add a bag of frozen italian mixed veggies and a jar of alfredo sauce, cook until veggies are heated and serve over pasta. Not as fancy (or yummy... or healthy), but quite yummy, and fast and easy.
