Had first night with the new setting and have mixed results. I dreamed a lot, which never happens; but I still woke up a little groggy this morning, which was not the result I had at the sleep study. So now I need to figure out what the difference is between the sleep study and last night's slumber.
The suspects are an old machine, so it may need a higher setting to compensate for its wheezy age; they used a humidifier, which I didn't; and my mattress is horrifically uncomfortable. Gonna use the humidifier tonight to see if that makes a difference. If not, then I'll bump the setting. Failing that, well, I may have to knuckle under and get a new mattress. (Or, maybe a cover on top of the mattress to add cushioning. I think Bed, Bath, and Beyond sells something like that, and one of those is just down the road.)
