I don't get the whole volleyball thing. Mostly the whole volleyball girl thing. Like who decided that wearing spandex shorts is necessary to have a good volleyball game?? I'm pretty sure that you can bump, set, spike, and serve with shorts that aren't super tight and short, in fact, at last nights volleyball game one girl was wearing moderately

My roomie said skirts over jeans is really fashionable in London. That explains why she wears them. They are also apparently about a year ahead of us in fashion, so look out! The 80s are coming h-core!

i don't get the whole spandex thing either. that was one thing i admired about my highschool coach - she wouldn't allow it. we won many a game in normal, baggy and unflattering shorts. they were unisex and ugly but they covered my cellulite!

Spandex = ideal for sliding/diving for the ball.

So unless you're planning on playing h-core, there's no point so long as the shorts you're wearing aren't effecting your mobility on the court (not too baggy or long).
