I've been there several times over the last four or five years. It really sucks. :/

the thing that really hurts is that the we're the only ones that feel the burn of those cuts. it's the guys high up on the food chain that are like, "Man, my daughter needs a new BMW and my wife needs a new set of tits. Hey Charlie, lets axe that Media Dev Department!"

I don't think the upper management doesn't feel it, it just doesn't impact them nearly as much. Layoffs and budget cuts hurts the whole company.
