but even if it's true, i wouldn't be totally surprised. CDs really can be replaced by digital distribution. i mean, ever hear someone go off on how great a brand new CD with a clean laser sounds? no. plus the obvious side, other than old school audiophiles who love their tables and vinyl, it's DJs who buy records. you really can't replace 'em.

I was reading that Fred Meyers started selling them on accident (misorder) and the sales are doing really well there. Hurray for vinyl making the come back :)
