i woke up this morning to a flood of messages via facespace regarding the executive administrator at my alma matter, pvpa. who knew he was being pushed out? this is how i've been feeling since getting through the mess o' messages ( Read more... )

I deeply concur with your sentiments on this issue. Though, of course, my misanthropic side is still dictating that if I'm in the area Tuesday I'll drop by to see what the hullabaloo is about. I never could resist a good shenanigan.

Of course, you're right (as far as I can see). It's not really about saving the school, but about saving that feeling that we had when we were there. And judging from the sterile environment, complete with hermetically sealed windows and miles of harsh fluorescence, that feeling may never be reignited there.

Of course, you can't blame the kids for trying. Everyone wants to hold that spark.

if you go, i want to know what happened from your angle. i just ran into a bunch of graduates at a show on friday and participated in the weirdest bob-loving-catharsis moment.

Well, first off I have to state for the record that because I never graduated, and don't get alumni mail as a result, my entire perspective on the matter is going to potentially be quite different from yours ( ... )

reading this even over a month later made me miss you tremendously.
i am not the performing artist i thought i might be either.

it is easier to stay away. i learned that when i went back for the showdown.
