i would love to be able to go through this whole thing and go, "that! that right there! i love that!" but, uhh, i don't think i'd be able to without dissolving into a mess of incoherency. that said:

Gerard's not sure why it was back tonight, why he listened to it, and why it won't leave. It's hanging onto his ankles, and it looks bigger than it used to be, hungrier. Ambitious. Gerard sort of wants to kick it.

also, the way you wrote the girls just blew me away. i mean, i want to be best friends with your Jamia. and Lyn-Z, in that scene where she's taping the flowers to the ceiling of her bunk, is possibly my favorite thing ever. i want to roll around forever in the parts with the two of them.

and then the last two parts were so incredibly intense, the way i think only you can write. amazing, all of it. i want to reread it again and again (and will) :D
