1. We have all heard of the tragic death of Hannah Bond and the media controversy that followed. Now a group of fans have organised a march to protest the treatment of Emos/MCR in the British press next Saturday. The question is what do you think about the protest?

1. I find this protest thing ridiculous. I truly believe that the whole mess would have blown over if it wasn't taken to outrageous extremes. Music was blamed in a death....Tell me something I haven't heard before.

2. I am trying to understand what is so horrible about Gerard that his wife doesn't want to be associated with the name.
Actually, I see her point..somewhat. I can see wanting to be her own person and making her living without the aid of her husband but she should have realized how 'big' he was before she became "Mrs Gerard Way".

3. I think it is overpriced and I will probably buy it anyway because I am an idiot!

4. Paul is the bastard who brokeded Emma's wittle heart!

5. No but I love reading over the ones posted here already. :)

I don't think anyone can really predict what is going to happen. I support the people who are going, because they're trying to make a statement and say that they have voices. I hate that people are so determined to believe that it'll backfire. Guess we're just gonna have to wait and see, huh?

2. Lynz has recently complained about the fact that she's getting referred to as "Mrs Gerard Way". What do you think about this?I understand what she means and I think it's horrible how women are treated in society even today. I'm sure Lyn-Z might have expected to be treated like this when she married Gerard, but that doesn't mean she can't be angry about it. But then again, if a famous woman celebrity married a lesser known man, the guy might be referred to as the celebrity's husband ( ... )

I'm sadden to see the amount of fans just going you're all idiots for going. So many people have just given up on the idea that there could be such a thing as a peaceful protest at all.

1. I think their intentions are good but it won't make a damn bit of difference. People who are as steadfast in their ignorance as the MCR nay-sayers are are too closed minded to see any other way but their own opinions. Similar deaths have happened so many times before, and where did anything done to protest it get us? Nowhere. Now we have labels on music to warn people that it might be offensive, which is crap. Shit, don't even get me started. The protest though - I am concerned that too many of the people there will just prove the nay-sayers' point. Which makes me sad because it doesn't represent the entire fandom ( ... )

1. I think it's good that they want to speak their mind, but I don't think many people will notice. I really hope it goes alright though.

2. I think she should be happy that her band is getting more attention, maybe at first not for the right reasons, but some people (like myself)discovered MSI thanks to that marriage and stayed for the music, not only because she's Mrs. Gerard Way, that is what she is now, and it was her choice. And I admire her for the answer she gave in the last question.

3. I love Día de muertos, so I'm happy they used that concept for it, but I do think the coffins look cheap, and the whole thing is really expensive. Still, I pre-ordered it and I'm exicted to get it.

4. I'm not sure if the Paul I'm thinking about is the one you're talking about.

5. Unfortunately no :(

That's a good point. As much as I would resent being known for who I was married to, if it helped my career, I could probably live with it!

I think it is both the worst idea and the best idea that I've ever heard. I was so very torn from the second I heard about this and I've listened to the arguments on both sides.
After talking it through with friends and other people I've decided I'm going. The whole point of this march is the dreadful journalism that The Daily Fail puts out on a daily basis.
I'd like to think that it will help at least open the eyes of some people that haven't taken notice of a whole generation of teenagers. That the idiotic articles they write cause more harm than good.
Like most people I know we are going to support the fans, the band and the culture which I grew up in.
