Beer Basting

I've deprived myself of Guiness for far too long! After nearly four years I gave it another chance last night. My oh my, what time does to the pallette. It was deliciously creamy, a mouthfeel worthy of any of the Gods' food. At 21 what was I supposed to know about hops and finish and all the other wonderful things related to beer drinking. Congratulations (pre-cons, that is). The beauty of being 21 is that you don't have to sneak a drink--any drink--that comes to you, you can actually afford to be choosy now; you can actually say to "no" to crap beer and yes to liquid gold. Beer drinking is just as sophisticated as wine drinking, never let anyone tell you otherwise. So you turn 21 on the 19? Awesome. First round's on me.
