Happy Birthday to Me!
So, I'm feeling much better today than I was last night when I got home from work...
At Kohl's, depending on who is working that day, I report to 3 different people. The General Manager (George), who likes me, the Apparel/Accessories Asst. Store Manager (Josie), who like me, and the Men's Department Supervisor (Nancy), who doesn't like me. Of course, I work most closely with Nancy since she and I are the 2 "full-time" people in the Men's Dept.
Most of our problems have come from her being paranoid about me trying to steal her job. When I got moved from Truck Off-load to Men's, Josie told me I was getting put there as Nancy's unofficial assistant, since there used to be 2 supervisors in Men's but now there's only 1. So I did my work under that assumption. Nancy saw the work I was doing as overstepping my bounds as a part-time associate in my attempt to usurp her position. We had problems for a while, but eventually she called a truce.
Since then, we had being doing okay, as long as we didn't work full shifts together. And then yesterday happened. Wednesday night, I worked 2-10:30pm, went home, barely slept, and was back at Kohl's at 6am on Thursday. I was having a good day, thought I was getting things accomplished, even though I was exhausted. Nancy came in a little after 2pm. Soon after she got there, a customer stepped on a straight pin in one of the Men's fitting rooms. That caused Nancy to yell at me for 5 minutes about how I should be sweeping the fitting rooms regularly and how much I had to learn before becoming a supervisor. She also made comments about how it didn't look like I had done any work that morning. And when I thought she was done, and walked away, she followed me and continued to criticize me and the work I do.
So I was not a happy camper when I left work yesterday...
Other than that, things are going okay. Looking for a job that would get me out of Kohl's hell and out of my parents house. We're going out to dinner tonight to celebrate my/my brother's birthday. And I'm trying to have a nice relaxing day off from work. That's all for now.
