It would have to be a little longer because I'd need to set up the characters a little more, but not much I think. It's AU anyway. I think it could work, definitely. Though I kind of like the idea of having an original character who is stone faced, and the line might still give characterization.

Yeah, but he's an actor. Hmm, maybe that's the key to the character - he can only express himself on stage.

Okay, so Gerard is the reader's proxy and I have a good idea for Mikey; I still need to firm up the other guys.

My characters are becoming less and less band boy personas and more and more their own characters. To the point where they all have their own names, except Frank, and I now have a shortlist for him to decide on. :) Characters are such picky little things.

I know, they warn you that once you start writing the characters take on a life of their own, but they don't tell you how INSISTENT the little buggers are. They have their own ideas and they don't do what you tell them.

I haven't read the story, but I know that with some character development and forgetting that the reader "knows" the character most most very well written fan fics can translate into originals.

If you can read your story and forget that they are mcr band members than you can probably pull it off.

I've never read one that was changed form one to the other. I've seen people take originals and turn them into fan fics, but not the other way around.
