Ugh, I agree with you so much. A few months ago I was in my local comic shop buying the first issue of The Umbrella Academy and the guy behind the counter almost told me to put it back. He did say the comic was well written, but obviously isn't a fan. Then this other kid playing magic started slamming into me about liking an emo band and how better they were a few years ago. I just took my comic and I left.

I never got those kinds of problems when I was buying The Umbrella Academy. The guys at my comic shop praise it. One time I was buying a stack of comics, and one of the guys who didn't know that I came in weekly/didn't know what was on my pull list even recommended it to me. They always do say "I don't like MCR" but it's always praised for being what it is.

Seriously, if some kid playing magic starts slamming you about liking something which is lame, then you better tell him to shove it up his ass and get laid or something. Cause I mean. . . kid plays magic. lolololol
(although reading comics is probably not that much more dignified)

4: YES. Kids always need to remember that.
7: Word to that.
13: Yeah, I'm in a stubborn mindset that MM is a hypocrite. YOU WILL NEVER BE AS COOL AS ALICE COOPER!

13. YES. I like his music, but he needs to grow up. Not literally.

Yes, everyone should know that only they can save themselves, but, a band like mcr can give people the hope and inspiration they need to save themselves.
Its that little push that counts :]
