An enjoyable "it followed us home" story--I particularly liked how the author worked John's penchant for naming creatures with ordinary Earth names into a doubled use of the prompt. His problems with wording the required mission report also was in-character and voice. Also, a deft touch with details: I think we readers know which side of Rodney's slanted mouth is the favorite John likes to kiss! And Eddy's returning the clothing it had in its 'tantrum' swept into the ocean was a nice touch in the final scene, leaving Rodney to utter a typically Rodney remark and John to anticipate a return to their evening's activities.
