Oh my! I enjoyed this immensely. This was a fun, satisfying read and I love how you kept John & Rodney sounding like guys -awkwardness and all. :)

Thank you so much! For some reason, I can never see them as suave...

John's self-doubts and uncertainties along with Rodney's misgivings and frustrations are an effective counterpoint to the tension of the Wraith assaults. When John gets to be playful with Rodney at the end, deliberately and self-mockingly rolling out his charmer's face to point towards the bed, we get to enjoy the change of pace along with Rodney. An effective blend of burgeoning relationship with action in this AU.

Thank you! I'm glad the ending worked: John really does not think of himself as charming in this story *g*

I really enjoyed this. Great style, very close to canon - an excellent canon-divergence story. I liked the ways you kept it similar to canon and the differences, and John and Rodney were very well characterized and not sentimentalized. A very satisfying read.

Thank you! I was rewatching, and kept wondering what the show would have been like if all those dropped plotlines and characters had stuck around....

John would not take to command easily... and that he smiles when he's nervous actually makes sense!

Lovely story!

Thank you! I'm a nervous smiler myself: amazing how many people think I'm just cheerful!

I enjoyed this one very much. I have always wished the expedition had been cut off from Earth for a longer period of time in the show and this is an excellent take on that. Thanks!

Thank you! It was fun doing the plotting of how to save everyone without the Daedalus!
